Aggie was director of the Good Housekeeping Institute in London before she was asked in 2003 to co-present Channel 4’s How Clean is Your House?
Since then she presented two series of Storage Hoarders on ITV. Aggie currently writes on a number of domestic topics; she is the gadget tester for Delicious, writes about food and travel for Sainsbury’s Magazine and has a tips column in My Weekly. She does a regular phone-in cleaning advice slot on both Radio 5 Live and Dublin’s RTE. Aggie is a judge for the Great Taste Awards and brand ambassador for Beko in Ireland. She regularly gives talks on a range on topics, including the joy of a decluttered life. She loves to bake and, in an effort to fend off the effects of old age, is currently training to teach yoga.
Alison is a visual merchandiser and sales assistant at Potters Cookshop in Hockley, Essex. With her background in sales working at Jegs electrical for 13 years, she is also a trained window dresser creating stunning displays. With great product knowledge and demonstration skills plus a passion for sales she is a great asset to the company.
David Conduit, Harts of Stur
David has worked at Harts of Stur for over 25 years, being part of the team that took the former agricultural merchant and hardware store into kitchenware and housewares, and then embracing early the digital and online market revolution, with company’s multi-award winning website. He spends his time now either asleep or thinking of sleep.
Lindsay has worked for several multiple retailers such as Woolworths and Safeway, always in non food and always in buying. A career break for a family saw Lindsay relocate to North Devon. Lindsay happily discovered Home Hardware right on her doorstep. The ethos of Home Hardware; both supporting independent retailers and being dealer owned, really appealed to Lindsay and she has been the buyer for Cookshop there since 2010. This is the longest Lindsay has stayed in one category which is a testament to what a dynamic sector full of lovely people it is.
Tom is managing director at Potters of Hockley and Potters Cookshop in Hockley, Essex. Having starting out as a sales assistant at the company 14 years ago, he has worked his way up to director and now running an award winning Cookshop. With a passion for retail he is also a great believer in supporting the independent sector.
Verity Mann is the Head of Testing at the Good Housekeeping Institute. Verity has been there for 8 years and, in that time, has tested a variety of food and non-food consumer products. Everything from smart phones and hair straighteners, saucepans to bakeware, food processors to graters, washing machines and fridge freezers. They have rigorous test protocols in place and can review anything up to 3,000 products per year. She loves looking at new gadgets and gizmos and hearing about new trends and innovations hitting the market. When deciding on a new purchase (small or large), it can be a minefield, so helping consumers make an informed decision is a worthwhile service.

Duncan spent 10 years working as a ski instructor and tour guide before he went into sales. He worked for Dunoon mugs for 3 years as an area sales manager before joining Pimpernel as a development sales manager. Duncan worked for pimpernel for 10 years where he was promoted to National accounts manager and looked after accounts in the department store sector. After leaving Pimpernel Duncan joined Ultimate Products (UP) as an account manager. Very quickly after joining UP Duncan moved over to buying where he has progressed from Buyer to Buying Director to Trading Director. Duncan is responsible for the running of the houswares division with total P&L responsibility of circa £25M.
Under the direction of Jenny as sales and marketing director, Auteur has continuously seen double digit growth year on year since it was founded in 2011. Taking bobble from launch to the definitive market leader Jenny has been a key driver of the success that is bobble, distributed exclusively by Auteur. bobble is an award winning product sold by the UK’s leading retailers including Selfridges, John Lewis, Waitrose and Tescos.
Kevin Towler, Sales Professional in Housewares
Kevin has worked in the Housewares industry for 12 years – his first position was with H & L, followed by Typhoon Housewares and Rayware. He spent four years with each company. Along this journey, he has also worked for high end brands such as Soda Stream, ICTC, Pyrex and Imperial. Currently, Kevin is in the process of setting up on his own to serve a range of accounts in London and the South East for a mixture of new and up coming Housewares companies.
Lisa is founder of Gourmet Gadgetry, a manufacturer of quirky kitchenware gadgets. Her role includes product development and research, UK based retail sales and product marketing. In 2014, Lisa’s successes placed her in the top 35 under 35 Business Women and in 2015 – First Women Awards Entrepreneur Finalist.
Paul has been leading the company since its inception and has worked tirelessly to build the company’s strong reputation amongst retailers. The UK figurehead for Wusthof knives, SCANPAN cookware, GEFU tools, Bredemeijer teaware and Nuance lifestyle accessories, he and his dedicated team are regarded as a leading distributor, supplier and aftercare provider for premium European brands.
Paul is the Sales & Marketing Director at Creative Tops Ltd. (Part of Lifetime Brands, USA). Paul has worked within the Housewares Industry for over 25 years holding a variety of senior positions, most latterly as Business Development Director at Addis Housewares and MD of La Cafetiere Ltd.
Peter founded Taylor and Ng UK in the early nineties, which later changed to Typhoon. Rayware acquired the brand twenty years later, and Peter worked with them as a consultant for three years. Two years months ago Peter helped with the forming of a UK subsidiary of the French company Charles Viancin, and he is still involved with the continuous development of the brand.
For the last three years Tim has been a National Field Sales Manager at KitchenCraft. He has been with KitchenCraft for almost ten years and was a key account manager prior to his promotion three years ago.
Tim has been in the industry for almost twenty years and has also worked for TTC, ECM housewares and his last role before joining KitchenCraft was with T& G Woodware where Tim spent five years as a territory manager. Tim is very passionate about the industry and has visited most parts of the UK and Eire in his various sales roles and many of the accounts Tim has dealt with are not just customers for him but genuine friends.
The product side of the industry is so fast moving and Tim believes he have found his natural home at KitchenCraft where they never stand still!
Tom is the Sales Manager at I.Grunwerg Ltd. He has worked for this award winning distributor for nearly 14 years, and has worked in the kitchenware industry for nearly 25 years. Tom is highly thought of in his field of work, and has impressively expanded the Grunwerg business during his employment with the company. This has shown especially in his last few years, where, as a respected manager, he leads a successful sales and marketing team.
